I can see it in my husband’s eyes, er, eyerolls; here we go again, another piece of furniture taking up space in the garage, dust getting on the cars, wa wa waaaa.

Is it just my husband?? It can’t be! Well, if I have to justify why our garage is filling up then I will. Flipping furniture is more than just a hobby for me – it’s therapy!

There’s something about taking an old, worn-out piece of furniture and transforming it into something beautiful that brings me a sense of peace and satisfaction.

The process of flipping furniture requires a great deal of focus and attention to detail. First, I need to identify the piece’s potential, envisioning what it could look like with a fresh coat of paint or new hardware. Then, I could spend hours sanding, (if needed), painting, and distressing until the piece looks exactly the way I envisioned it.

The satisfaction I feel when I step back and admire the final product is indescribable. It’s a sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something new out of something old, and it’s a reminder that with a little bit of effort and creativity, anything is possible.

Flipping furniture is also therapeutic in that it allows me to disconnect from the stresses of everyday life. When I’m working on a piece, I’m fully immersed in the task at hand, and my mind is free from worries or distractions. It’s a chance for me to recharge, refocus, and come back to reality feeling refreshed and energized.

Overall, flipping furniture is more than just a hobby or a way to make some extra cash – it’s a form of self-care that brings me joy, peace, and a sense of accomplishment.
